To tap into your DISH Network entertainment, always make sure:

• Your television is on.
  
  
• Your TV is set to the correct channel or input (TV1: Try channel 3 or 4, see back of the Quick Reference Guide for correct channel or input number.)
  
  
• The remote control is set to satellite mode (push the SAT button on your remote control)
  
  

To operate the TV, your DISH Network remote controls must be programmed. See your User's Guide for easy instructions on programming your remote controls.

• Press the GUIDE button once to view "ALL Sub" or only those channels in your subscription package.

• Press the GUIDE button again to view the "Favorite List Options" menu where you can set your guide to display:

• • All DISH Network channels (ALL Chan)
• • All channels available only in your subscription package (ALL Sub)
• • All HD channels (ALLHD)
• • Only your Favorite channels (Favorites)

To get the most from your DISH Network system, make sure your receiver remains connected to a phone line and high-speed Internet connection, if available.

Connecting your phone line lets you:

• • See Caller ID on your TV screen
  (with subscription to Caller ID through your local phone company)
• • Order pay-per-view with your remote control
• • Play exclusive games on DishHOME (channel 100)
• • Change your programming packages on DishHome*

Connecting to a high-speed Internet (Ethernet) cable lets you:

• • Access the exclusive DishOnline feature with thousands of movies and TV shows on demand 24/7*

Staying connected to a phone line or high-speed Internet cable allows your system to automatically let us know that it is running smoothly.

Enjoying the Best Signal Reliability

Your TV satellite signal will rarely be affected by weather. You will enjoy clear, reliable reception, year-round, nationwide. Any interference problems will be temporary and your signal will be restored within moments, not days or weeks like with cable.

When the storm passes, if you continue to have signal issues, make sure your dish antenna is not covered by snow, ice or a fallen object. If it can safely and easily be accessed, gently clear your dish.

RESET: The Most Common Cure

In the unlikely event you get a black, blue or frozen screen, the receiver might need a simple reset. Press and hold the POWER button on the front panel of your receiver for about 5 seconds. The receiver will restart and should return to programming in just a few minutes. Resetting your receiver is a lot like rebooting your computer.

Connecting Your DVD Player and other Equipment

Your TV is the center of your entertainment universe. It may be connected to other electronic equipment, such as a VCR, DVD player or gaming console. Although your individual equipment may vary, try the following if you have any issues:

• • Make sure cables are connected correctly for all electronic equipment.
  
  
• • Make sure the power is on for all equipment.
  
  
• • Tune to the correct TV channel or input to see your VCR, DVD, gaming console and satellite receiver (see the back of your Quick Reference Guide for correct channel input number.)
  
  
• • Pushing the TV/Video Input button on your TV's remote control will cycle through the available video channels on your television. Try pressing the TV/Video Input button or find the equipment signal you want to watch.
